The trim ripped at the seam
I've worn my new shirt half a dozen times and love it. The salesperson warned me to set the colors with vinegar and cold water, smart girl. I never wash a blouse like this without it being in a mesh bag, it stops the tearing of the two fabrics .
Pattern, colour and fit are perfect
As others have noted, the chiffon rips immediately at the seam. I purchased this top yesterday hoping to wear it for a meeting today - I really like the look and I usually hate florals, and the trim is helpful for me to add a little length for my shape. However even before I stepped out of the house I noticed that the seams on the chiffon on both sides had ripped. I brought a backup top but still wore it in hoping that maybe I could exchange it before my meeting or find a way to repair it, but as I am sitting at my desk right now I see that I don't think it was mistreatment on my part or having purchased it without noticing it was already damaged - the seam is now gaping in the middle. The fabric simply can't handle any stress at the seam, even very light stress. I'm upset this wasn't caught prior to releasing the garment, especially as it could have been fixed by having the trim split at the seam, having extra fabric there, or some kind of stretch panel.
I wish I had read review on the top. Lesson learned, even in store I will read review. The side seams ripped the first time I wore it and I am now faced with taking off the trim if I want to wear it again. If you have big hips don't even try. That is not my problem spot and it ripped within hours.
Like the fit and feel of the top. The lace gives it a nice touch but that's what also breaks it. The tip has a nice stretch to it but the lace at the bottom has no give. Where the lace sits eveyte you sit or bend you year the seam on the lace. I sit st work and by lunch the first time I wore it it was ruined
I purchased this in a store in Calgary while on vacation. Once I got home and washed it for the 1st time as per washing instructions, I noticed that the chiffon hem at both side seams came apart and is not repairable. The only thing I can do now is to completely remove the chiffon. If there was an Addition Elle store in my home town I would return it for an exchange as it is a very flattering top.
